the repair bonus is a financial incentive designed to encourage berlin residents to repair broken devices instead of throwing them away and buying new ones. the berlin senate department for mobility, transport, climate protection, and environment supports the repair of household electrical and electronic devices with a subsidy of up to 200 euros. the repair bonus will also be available in 2025. you can apply at ibb business team.
who can apply for the repair bonus in berlin?
any natural person with their main residence in berlin is eligible to apply. the applicant must be at least 18 years old and must be the same person named on the invoice.
repair by a professional repair shop
✅ the subsidy covers 50% of eligible costs, up to a maximum of 200 euros per repair or spare part.
✅ the total invoice amount must be at least 75 euros, including vat.
✅ all costs directly related to the repair—such as spare parts, labor, and vat—are eligible for funding.
repair in a repair café
✅ if you repair your device at a repair café, the purchase of the required spare part is 100% covered.
✅ the repair café will issue a tracking sheet, which must be submitted along with the invoice.
✅ the spare part invoice must be at least 25 euros, including vat.
✅ the funding is limited to a one-time subsidy of up to 200 euros per spare part.

the subsidy can be applied for once per person within the funding period.
✅ the funding period is based on the current funding guidelines.
✅ before applying, the repair must already be completed. the funding applies only to repairs carried out after the guideline takes effect on january 18, 2025. repairs done before this date are not eligible.
