Welcome to fix1.today, a platform operated by FixFirst.io, providing users with repair services, error diagnosis, a repair ambassador program, and a repair voucher program across Europe. This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR and other applicable data protection laws in Europe and the UK.

By using fix1.today, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection, processing, and sharing of your personal data as described herein.

3. Categories of Data Collected

A. Personal Data Provided by Users

When booking repairs: Name, email, phone number, device details, address (if applicable).

When applying for a repair voucher: Name, email, phone number, address (if applicable), proof of eligibility (sometimes only the postal code, in some cases the personal ID).

When registering as a repair partner: Business name, contact details, service details, business license and registration, personal ID if the owner, bank details for reimbursement. General data such as company size or demographic information.

When using the Fix1 Family Plan: Family members, including children, may upload their own products for repair or circular services, requiring parental or guardian consent for users under 16 years old.

When using the Fix1 Business & Employee Benefit Plan: Employers may provide employee data (such as names and email addresses) for program enrollment. Employees may submit repair requests under the program.

When participating in the Repair Ambassador Program: Ambassadors may submit publicly available repair provider details for inclusion on the Fix1 repair map. Ambassadors must not submit private or sensitive data about businesses without proper authorization.

B. Data Collected Automatically

Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, session activity, logs.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies: Google Analytics, iubenda Consent Solution, and other similar tools.

C. Payment Information

Payments are processed securely through third-party services (Stripe, PayPal, Android Pay, Apple Pay).

Fix1.today does not store payment details.

For Employee Benefit Plans: Employers may cover repair costs directly. Employee benefit transactions are billed to the employer without disclosing specific repair details unless required for compliance.

D. Data Shared with Third Parties

Repair Partners: For booking and service fulfillment. Repairers only receive necessary customer details required to complete the service. FixFirst remains responsible for data processing and retention related to bookings.

Repair Voucher Program Partners: Shared only during the repair voucher program period for reimbursement and program monitoring including communications with users who benefited from repair vouchers.

For the voucher program in London, both The Restart Project and ReLondon will be partners.

Business & Employee Benefit Program Partners: Employers may receive aggregated usage reports for program management, but they do not receive access to specific repair details unless an employee consents.

Repair Ambassador Program Data: Submitted repair provider details (public business information) may be displayed to other users.

Analytics & Advertising Providers: Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, HubSpot CRM, etc.

Automation & AI Services: Vapi, Make (Integromat), OpenAI, Zapier (for automation, AI-driven diagnostics, and customer interactions).

Cloud Storage & Hosting: Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure.

Communication & Marketing Services: Mailchimp, Typeform, Whereby, Microsoft, WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn.

Recruitment & HR Services: Join (for recruiting and talent acquisition).

Local Government or Municipal Authorities: Where required for public repair programs.

AI Training & Improvement: Encrypted, non-personal data may be used to enhance AI models and machine learning capabilities.

4. FixFirst’s Role in Repairer Listings and Bookings

FixFirst controls all booking-related data when repairers accept customer bookings via Fix1.today.

Repairers do not independently control or process customer booking data but receive only necessary details for service fulfillment.

FixFirst remains responsible for data processing and retention, ensuring repairers do not need to modify their Privacy Policies.

Repairers may store limited service records for warranty or legal purposes but must comply with GDPR requirements.

5. Booking & Payment Processing Transparency

FixFirst handles all booking transactions and customer interactions on behalf of repairers.

FixFirst may process payments for repairers via third-party providers; repairers do not store payment data.

Users booking services through Fix1.today enter into a direct service agreement with the repairer, while FixFirst facilitates the transaction.

6. Data Security & Encryption

Fix1.today implements industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect personal data:

Data Encryption: All sensitive data is encrypted both at rest and in transit.

Access Control: Strict user role-based access to sensitive data.

Incident Response: Breach detection and compliance with GDPR notification rules.

Data Retention: Data is retained as long as necessary for legal, contractual, or security reasons.

7. AI Model Training & Data Anonymization

Fix1.today does not use personal data for AI training without explicit user consent.

AI model improvements only use anonymized and encrypted data to enhance system performance.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of fix1.today, operated by FixFirst.io. The platform does not provide repair services itself but facilitates matchmaking between users and repair service providers. It offers error diagnostics, membership options, a repair voucher program, an AI-powered concierge service for repair bookings, and a repair ambassador program. Additionally, the platform enables both independent repair service providers and other repair-related businesses to register and manage their services online.

FixFirst operates across Europe, including Germany, Austria, and the United Kingdom.

By using fix1.today, you agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

3. Service Scope & Functions

Fix1.today serves as a technical platform that enables users to:

Book and manage repairs for electronics and other products.

Receive AI-driven error diagnostics (non-binding recommendations).

Use the AI concierge service, which automates repair requests and bookings for users, including contacting repairers who may not have a Fix1 account but have publicly available business profiles (e.g., websites, Google Maps, other directories).

Participate in the London repair voucher program, where eligible users can apply for a voucher, pay a discounted price, and have repairers claim reimbursement from Fix1, which is managed by Restart and Relondon, funded by North London Waste Authority.

Access Fix1’s own repair vouchers, which are provided as part of membership plans.

Allow repairers to sign up, create an online profile, and manage their repair services using FixFirst software.

Engage with third-party service providers, including repair technicians, logistics providers, and insurers.

Participate in the Fix1 Repair Ambassador Program, where users may submit publicly available repair provider details to be displayed on the Fix1 repair map.

Access membership options, which provide benefits such as priority support, exclusive discounts, additional repair services, and repair vouchers.

Facilitate repair bookings and matching with AI technology.

Provide map-based repair service discovery using Google Maps and Mapbox.

Suggest circular alternatives, such as refurbished devices or sustainable repair options when a repair is deemed too expensive.

Facilitate an impact program, where users can donate to sustainability and circular economy initiatives.

Users can request repairs with or without a membership. Details on pricing, memberships, and voucher benefits are available at fix1.today/pricing. Fix1.today is a neutral platform provider and assumes no responsibility for any third-party repair services, transactions, AI-generated diagnostics, or external claims.

4. AI Concierge

4.1 AI Concierge Booking

Fix1.today’s AI concierge service enables users to request and book repair services, including repairers who:

Do not have a Fix1 account but have publicly available business details (e.g., listed on Google Maps, business directories, or their own websites).

Accept repair requests via phone, email, or online booking systems.

AI Booking Process & Fees

Users acknowledge and agree that Fix1.today may use AI to identify and contact repair providers based on publicly available business data.

Fix1.today may charge a transaction fee for facilitating repair bookings.

Repairers may be charged a lead generation fee for repair requests initiated via the AI concierge service.

The AI concierge does not guarantee service availability, response time, or pricing from external repairers.

Users must confirm repair terms and pricing directly with external repair providers before proceeding with any repair service.

FixFirst processes all booking-related data, and repairers receive only the necessary details to fulfill services.

5. Regional Repair Voucher Programs

5.1 General Information

Fix1.today may manage or facilitate certain regional repair voucher programs. The scope of our involvement in each region is outlined below. Users should verify eligibility requirements directly with the relevant authorities or repair providers.

5.2 Austria, Berlin, Thuringia, Saxony, and France – User Information

Fix1.today does not currently manage the government-backed repair voucher programs in these regions, but AI-powered bookings may still connect users with local repair providers. Users should be aware that:

AI-powered bookings do not guarantee eligibility for official repair subsidies.

Each regional program has its own rules, application process, and eligibility criteria.

Users must confirm directly with repairers whether their repair qualifies for any regional subsidy before proceeding.

If Fix1.today becomes involved in managing or facilitating any of these programs, specific details will be outlined separately.

5.3 London Repair Voucher Program

Repairers participating in the London repair voucher program must register with Fix1.today.

Repairers must submit reimbursement requests within 30 days of completing a voucher-funded repair.

Fix1.today is not responsible for rejected reimbursement claims due to incomplete documentation or non-compliance with program rules.

ReLondon is an additional delivery partner for the program.

6. Repairer Profiles, Booking & Payment Processing

FixFirst can manage all customer booking transactions, customer interactions, and service coordination for repairers who list their services on Fix1.today.

Customers may pay either the normal price or a discounted price, depending on:

Eligibility for regional repair voucher programs (e.g., the London Repair Voucher Program).

Any Fix1, partner, or repairer promotions that offer a temporary or conditional discount.

Payments can be processed either through Fix1.today or directly by the repairer:

If processed through Fix1.today, payments are securely handled via third-party payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Android Pay.

If paid directly to the repairer, Fix1.today is not responsible for payment processing or data security in such transactions.

Repairers receive only the necessary customer details required to fulfill repairs, and FixFirst remains responsible for data processing and retention.

Repairers do not store or process payment data independently, except when facilitating direct customer payments outside Fix1.today’s platform.

Repairers do not need to update their Privacy Policy, as FixFirst processes all booking-related data and transaction records.

Customers who book services through Fix1.today enter into a direct service agreement with the selected repair provider.

6. Privacy Policy & Data Processing

Your use of fix1.today is subject to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and share data.

6.1 Key Privacy Terms

Compliance with GDPR & European Data Protection Laws: Fix1.today follows strict data security protocols and only collects necessary user data.

AI Processing & Model Training: Encrypted, non-personal data may be used to improve Fix1.today’s AI models and automation systems.

These Terms are governed by German law.

8. Right to Modify Services & Termination

Fix1.today reserves the right to modify or discontinue services for maintenance, business reasons, or legal compliance.

Users may delete accounts at any time. Fix1 may suspend access for violations of these Terms.
